Looks Like Soho House Is Indeed Taking Over the Former Nikita in Malibu

So says the ABC license.

After a few rounds of speculation and plenty of naysayers on either side, the deal for private club Soho House to take over the long-closed Nikita in Malibu appears finalized thanks to this ABC license, which gives it all away.

As you can see, Soho House LLC is the new managing member of the address which formerly held Nikita. That restaurant was terribly short-lived despite owner Larry Ellison and all his billions, and almost immediately following the shutter there were rumors that Soho House could be looking to snatch it up, perhaps in part because of their full alcohol permit, which was officially transferred to the new owners on Tuesday.

The Soho House growth spurt would coincide with their massive Arts District build-out, which has been actively kicking out artists and making the rest of the neighborhood grumble since it was first announced in March of last year. There’s no word on when Nikita’s transformation into a members-only Malibu hotspot will be complete.
