Things keep rolling along for the ROC restaurant team, which just opened its West Third Street location late last year. Two of their next sites — one in Playa Vista, and another in Culver City — are also coming along quite nicely, while the original location on Sawtelle is getting the renovation treatment.
First up is The Runway at Playa Vista, where ROC plans to create a new flagship location built right into the upscale mixed-use shopping mecca. Construction is still heavy there, but things are starting to round into shape and a big grand opening is planned for sometime in March. Once it arrives, expect Westside xiao long bao-lovers to arrive in droves.
Their second location will tuck into the Harlow in Culver City, another mixed-use development that is still under construction. Build-out for that Culver location will begin sometime next month, with a targeted arrival in summer, just across from East Borough and down the way from most of the other downtown Culver City restaurant attractions.
Their West Third location has finally settled in as well, in the same strip mall space as the German döner spot Berllins. That address got a bit classed up back in late October, but starting February 1 they’ll be doing a strong promotion to help build their presence in the neighborhood. Per ownership, anyone who dines in at the restaurant will receive a $20 dining credit, good towards their next meal.
Look for ROC Playa Vista to land at The Runway this spring, with Culver City to hit sometime soon after.
