There’s been an unfortunate rash of restaurant fires around town lately, from Jon & Vinny’s to Tar & Roses to the heartbreaking loss of Rocio’s Mole due to arson back in August. Now apparently we can add The Fix Burger to that last, as the Silver Lake restaurant is still papered over following a small incident last month.

Per this Facebook post, the longtime burger shop on Hyperion experienced an outlet fire in the kitchen sometime in mid-December, causing them to shutter immediately. Thankfully no one was hurt in the blaze, but it has knocked the restaurant out of commission. As of now, there’s only this note taped to the front of the papered-over glass up front:

THE FIX WILL BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED

There was a fire in the kitchen overnight that caused some cosmetic and equipment damage.

We will be back up as soon as possible. Meanwhile, we will miss you all!

Sources say the restaurant should only be down for a couple more weeks, though there’s no hard target date just yet. And, as we've seen in the past, those anticipated reopening dates can spiral out of control pretty fast.
