Looks like another fast casual concept for Pasadena, this time in the form of TLT Food. According to several tipsters paperwork is up for the Pasadena Playhouse-adjacent space right now, though an actual opening could still be a little way off.
Peering through the chainlink fencing, you’ll see an under-construction space and a small piece of paper taped to the glass notifying passersby of the incoming restaurant. Though there’s nothing more detailed right now than ‘coming soon’ — and requests for more info from corporate have so far not been returned — the arrival shouldn’t take too long to materialize, given the simple concept’s layout and existing menu at their other locations in Westwood and Irvine.
Born out of the ashes of the former Lime Truck, TLT Food is an easygoing option for everything from tacos to short rib grilled cheese sandwiches and pork belly rice bowls. The brand has had some on-again, off-again success with a few different locations over the years, including a shuttered Downtown location and an eventual opening at The Bloc.
UPDATE: A previous version of this article stated that TLT was inside the Pasadena Playhouse. It is in fact located at Playhouse Plaza, a new development adjacent to the Playhouse.
