Good news for Glassell Park, as deep neighborhood newcomer Division 3 debuted over the weekend.

The new breakfast and lunch space is housed in the former Tested.LA cafe on Division Street, which closed up shop back in October. At that time, the goodbye social media post hinted at new things to come (including the Division 3 name) but only now has the switcheroo been finalized.

So what is Division 3? A morning and lunch place mostly, doing 7 a.m. wakeup food like coffee, pastries, and $4 biscuit sandwiches. Lunch lands at 11 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m., and involves sub-$10 sandwiches and a few salads to boot. The whole menu comes by way of Matthew Dickson, formerly chef at FEED Body + Soul in Venice.

As with the former Tested.LA, there’s not much by way of seating (and none indoors). Instead, this is a grab and go kind of operation, with a few tables and chairs situated in the small patio space out back.

Division 3 is open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Glassell Park.
