Farmboy Kitchen Looks Ready for the Harvest in Hollywood

Good news for an area that could use it.

There were some early rumblings about Farmboy Kitchen back in September, when it first came to light that one Hunter Fox was trying to revitalize one of the tougher corners in all of Hollywood. Since then, not much else has been mentioned about the Vine / Santa Monica strip mall space, though anyone driving by can watch the build-out process happen in real time.

As of today, tables and chairs are in, tap lines have been run, and it’s hard to even tell what might be holding the place up — other than this pending ABC license, perhaps. There’s no official news on any of their social media accounts about when the place might get into the game, but it’s not hard to imagine that some of the Hollywood locals are hoping it’s soon.

For what it’s worth, the space certainly seems to be a vast improvement to that stretch, which has been a bit on the grubby side for some time now. Hollywood’s very own Oinkster has done a nice job of helping to anchor the stretch of Vine that’s closer to Larchmont, but otherwise there’s not a ton of great options. That is, unless you’re really excited about this Saudi Arabian restaurant that’s coming just up the street.

Eater reached out to owner Hunter Fox about an opening date for the restaurant, but so far hasn’t heard back.
