Valerie Gordon, namesake of the always-amazing Valerie Confections empire, is growing her count of locations by one. The new space will actually sit right next to the current Valerie on 1st Street in Westlake, and will carry a heavy chocolate focus.

Gordon and her team just took control of the cutesy storefront a week or so ago, but have big plans in mind to turn the sunny corner spot into a boutique for all kinds of chocolate creations. And what’s better, they should be done by this coming Friday.

The 1,000 square foot space is set to carry a full line of treats like truffles, jams, petit fours, cookies, and the usual run of seasonal treats that Valerie is known for. The design of the space will be similarly stunning, with a self-described salon-style space that will offer seating beneath more than a few antique touches.

If all goes well, the new retail space should be ready by this Friday, which will free up the first-ever Valerie bake space next door to increase local and online sales production. Expect hours from Monday though Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
