Los Angeles is without doubt a wonderful place to be a vegan, in no small part due to the Café Gratitude family of restaurants. Well the company with locations in Larchmont, Arts District, Venice, and San Diego, not to mention Gracias Madre in West Hollywood, is making its next big move. Gratitude, the restaurant group's upscale concept with a flagship location in Newport Beach, will open in the heart of the Golden Triangle at 419 N Canon Dr.
Toddrickallen first noticed a posted open air dining permit on the front of what used to be Coupa Cafe. Reps for Café Gratitude confirm the expansion, and explain that the new concept will offer seasonal, vegan dishes by chef Dreux Ellis as well as a fully organic beverage program by the cocktail maven behind Gracias Madre’s exceptional bar, Jason Eisner.
Gratitude is a more "elevated experience" than its sister restaurant Café Gratitude, with some of the same menu items offered alongside seasonal specials. Located in one of the ritziest parts of town just a few blocks from Rodeo Drive, the upscale vegan concept should fare quite well in the neighborhood, and will surely be a huge boon for the vegan community.
Gratitude is slated to open early next year.
