Sweetfin Serves Up Fresh Fish to Woodland Hills Friday

The poke trend leader makes for the Valley

Farley Elliott is the Senior Editor at Eater LA and the author of Los Angeles Street Food: A History From Tamaleros to Taco Trucks. He covers restaurants in every form, from breaking news to the culture, people, and history that surrounds LA's dining landscape.

The ongoing poke trend keeps popping up everywhere, with just the latest big news that Sweetfin Poke is landing at The Village at Topanga shopping center in Woodlands Hills this Friday.

The popular Hawaiian-inspired fresh fish option brings clean lines and lots of choice to the Westfield property this week, all backed by recipes developed with chef Dakota Weiss. This latest iteration comes on the heels of some pretty big expansions already, with Sweetfin growing from their Santa Monica original to include West Third Street, sleepy Westwood, and more.

They're not done yet, though. As Eater learned already, a massive new location is coming to the heart of Downtown soon enough, with the company further confirming a future address on Larchmont, as well as big national roll-outs down the line.

As for this Woodland Hills space, expect the sort of beach-adjacent tones you've come to enjoy from the Sweetfin team, including a bounty of well-worn woods, touches of green, and ample sunlight. There's outdoor seating to boot, along with two- and four-tops and some lower box seating, all designed by Brett Nestadt and Mayes Office architects.

Sweetfin Poke opens Friday at The Village at Topanga in Woodland Hills, with daily hours from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
