There’s another casual option in line for Hollywood these days, as the second iteration of Trejo’s Tacos — this one called Trejo’s Cantina — has quietly opened in a strip mall off Cahuenga. The Big Wangs-adjacent spot went live on Monday, says the LA Times, and they’ve got a slightly more expansive menu than the La Brea original.

The former District 13 has been channeled into a casual den for tacos, overseen by famous actor Danny Trejo himself.

As for the food, those same tacos and sides you’ll find off La Brea can be handled in Hollywood, but with the extension of a slew of slightly larger dishes. There are taco bowls on offer now, served with grilled Jidori chicken and a scoop of guacamole, plus a long run of taps for craft beer behind the wide bar. Chef John-Carlos Kuramoto is at the helm now after Daniel Mattern (of the upcoming Friends & Family in Thai Town) stepped in to initially handle the opening. The full menu is below.

Hours for the new Trejo’s Cantina run 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, though you might be hard-pressed to find parking during the evening in that cramped parking lot.
