There’s another 85°C Bakery making its way to Glendale, settling in right next to the forthcoming Halal Guys on Brand says a tipster. The upcoming destination will tuck inside the Woolworth Building, and should help to further anchor one seriously hot stretch of boulevard in town.

Fast casual concept Blaze Pizza is officially becoming part of the Staples Center scenery, opening up a new restaurant and becoming a partner of the LA Kings. They’re actually going to be the exclusive pizza sold at Staples now, which is pretty insane.
A crash at Don Carlos
Looks like a late night car crash took out Fullerton favorite Don Carlos, an unassuming Mexican restaurant on the corner of Commonwealth and Lemon. According to the OC Register, despite the incident (and the police tape) the place is still up and running as of this morning.

Children’s Bureau, a non-profit dedicated to stopping the abuse of children, is throwing a big wine-fueled dinner party on October 20. The whole thing goes down at Casa Vertigo in Downtown, with chefs from Susan Feniger and Ray Garcia to Steve Samson and David Lentz attending. Yes, there will also be lots of wine to quench the thirst of the 500 or so attendees who pony up $250 a head for the pleasure.
