Doner kebabs, the vertical spit-roasted meat sandwiches popular in Turkey, Europe, and beyond, is becoming a full fledged trend in Los Angeles, what with the arrival of Spitz, Berlins, and Prime Cutts. Now SpireWorks, the newest seller of the shawarma-style sandwiches, is about to grand open in Westwood, with plenty of free food to boot.
On Wednesday, November 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., grab a free SpireWorks "Destination" (a choice of filling topped with various city-inspired flavors), SpireCake, and beverage. The counter-service restaurant that is influenced by global flavors should be a big hit with UCLA students and Westwood denizens, and has plans to open more locations across the country.
And with consulting chef Kuniko Yagi, formerly Hinoki and the Bird, on board, it’s probably a safe bet that the concept should fare well in the City of Angels.
After its grand opening, SpireWorks will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Check out the full menu below.
