It seems as though Angelenos can’t get enough of one of LA’s best steakhouses, Wolfgang Puck’s CUT. One of the world’s most recognized celebrity chefs has opened a sister restaurant, CUT Lounge, right next door in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The new concept takes over the former Sidebar with a similarly casual feel.
A "Rough CUTs" menu and classic cocktails are at the heart of CUT Lounge. Beyond shaken and stirred libations and an extensive rare whisky program, a custom negroni cart will traverse the lounge serving classic and contemporary takes on the drink. To soak it all up, the Rough CUTs menu will feature both seafood-centric dishes like crispy kataifi wrapped prawns, an Alaskan king crab and Santa Barbara uni "cocktail" on avocado toast, and meaty options like chicken liver "pastrami" with black bread and honey mustard.
Thankfully, popular CUT dishes like the American wagyu steak skewers and bone marrow toast with oxtail marmalade along with larger CUT entrees will also be available in the lounge for those who want a more relaxed dining experience while eating the steakhouse's signature fare.
Designed by Puck, his wife Gelila Assefa Puck, and Waldo’s Designs, CUT Lounge features a palette of beige, browns and greys and trendy mid-century modern furnishings.
CUT Lounge is open 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday and is closed Sunday.
