The comeback took more time than just about anybody would like, but after quite a long wait it can finally be said: Humphrey Yogart is alive and well in the Valley once again. The pun-tastic frozen yogurt shop helped to define the genre more than three decades ago in Sherman Oaks, but was forced to move from their longtime space in March after failing to come to terms with new building ownership.

Now they’re on the mend with a surprise new location, tucked into a standalone stall at one end of the Gelson’s grocery store in Sherman Oaks. It’s a short move, ultimately, for the company, as that grocery store actually shares a parking lot with the original strip mall location of Humphrey Yogart anyway, meaning longtime fans won’t have to wander far to get their fill.

If anything the location should see even more daily foot traffic than their original outlet, and with the Sheftel family still running things you can expect the usual host of frozen yogurt flavors. The new build-out even retains much the same tone and color scheme as the original, and will keep daily hours from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Humphrey Yogart officially reopens today inside the Gelson’s in Sherman Oaks.
