Veggie Grill’s new Beyond Burger

LA’s own Veggie Grill is getting into the modern meatless burger craze, serving up the new Beyond Burger that looks and cooks as if it’s actually ground beef. It’s only appearing at the Hollywood location for now, but will expand into other sites by mid-December.

Groundwork gets in at the Grove

Groundwork Coffee, the long-running LA-based organic coffee company, is headed for a kiosk at the Grove later this month. Serving drinks, sandwiches and more, the stoop right by The Park inside the Grove should give tourists and locals alike a peek at just how awesome our local coffee can be.

Amaro hits Highland Park Bowl

Brad Thomas Parsons, author of cocktail cookbook Amaro, is popping up at Highland Park Bowl on Saturday. The party runs from noon to 3 p.m., and will include a slew of amaro cocktails plus food from the kitchen, so lace 'em up if you’d like to bowl and drink this weekend.

Big changes at Barbrix

Silver Lake brunch icon Barbrix has a new chef, with Wesley Barden coming on in an executive role to overhaul much of the menu. Don’t worry, the neighborhood’s favorite dishes will be there still, but otherwise you can expect rustic, local cooking from the former chef de cuisine at Dudley Market in Venice, as he transforms the below dinner menu.
