The wait for Beer Belly Long Beach is nearly over, as the craft beer haven plans an opening this Friday. Until then, you’ll have to console yourself with these awesome photos of what should be a very fun place to spend some time with a pint and some wings.

The stunning new space off Long Beach Boulevard is the work of MAKE Architecture, and comes filled with long lines and smooth surfaces. There are some pendant lights hanging from the ceiling, sure, but this is far from a basic beer bar — as the long, funky bar itself can attest.

Much like the Koreatown original, expect this Beer Belly to act as a haven for both solo diners and groups to congregate, with a strong lineup of rare and one-off beers to go along with chef Wes Lieberher’s flavor-forward menu. Add in cocktails from none other than Karen Grill, and Long Beach has a winner on its hands.

Beer Belly Long Beach officially opens Friday, November 11 at 5 p.m., running until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
