The Borg-like Blue Bottle Coffee takeover of Los Angeles is nearly complete, with the Bay Area brand opening yet another location inside a prime slice of Downtown real estate. Say this for Blue Bottle: they certainly know how to pick — and make the most of — their LA locations.

This iteration sits inside the Bradbury Building, right at the corner of Broadway and 3rd Street and steps from Grand Central Market. It’s a gorgeous corner slice, filled with daytime light and evening foot traffic out the large windows. Like many of their other locations, expect an open counter arrangement and lots of brick, with blonde wood tones as an accent point and high ceilings for all to enjoy.

The menu is the usual run of drip, pourover, and espresso drinks, as well as a few handy toasts, some to-go grain bowls and parfaits, and even cereal if you’re into it. Perhaps most interesting though is the company’s active library in the back, where guests can purchase a variety of books with proceeds benefitting the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.

The first official day for Blue Bottle Coffee inside the Bradbury Building is Saturday, December 31. The shop will keep daily hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
