Boneyard Bistro Takes Control of Former Cafe Cordiale Space in Sherman Oaks

Live performance venue Cafe Cordiale shuttered last year on Ventura Boulevard, bringing an end to one of Sherman Oaks’ favorite casual nightlife options. Now there seems to be some movement inside the cavernous space, with reports coming in that the team behind Boneyard Bistro has seized the address.

Indeed there is something going on, as Boneyard chef/owner Aaron Robins has attached his name to this ABC license. A call to Robins confirms that he and his team have made it their mission to revamp the former Cordiale, though he won't say yet what's to come — except to note that it's not going to be anything like the current Boneyard Bistro just down the street.

Still, expect the two concepts to be in one way or another complimentary. Robins already has a strong name in the Valley, so folks will likely be keeping an eye on under-construction space to find out when they pop their head in next — probably after a meal at Boneyard first. The Cordiale location is in the midst of some heavy construction, though, so don't expect anything until sometime in the summer, most likely.
