Welcome ladies and gentlemen, readers of all stripes, to Eater LA's inaugural Breakfast Week. Throughout the years, we've covered plenty of things breakfast: donutscoffeeweekday spotsbrunch, and even late night breakfasts. But we're not stopping there. Los Angeles is a town that celebrates the morning meal, with folks in every corner of the city finding refuge at their local diner or donut shop, or perhaps their nearby pho joint. Los Angeles is a city that starts early, making breakfast the most important meal for our creative town.

From this second until late Friday afternoon, Eater LA has a cavalcade of breakfast stories in the works, from guides on your favorite Thai soups or Korean porridge to a feature on the best pancakes you've never tried. We'll delve into great babkas and Middle Eastern breakfasts to fancy hotels that feature upscale eggs. And geography won't be an issue: we're going from the upper Valley all the way east to San Gabriel Valley, and even down south to Long Beach. We have every corner of Los Angeles covered.

To kick things off, here's a video of LA's best breakfast sandwich — from Eggslut, naturally:
