Look out, Beverly Hills and Silver Lake: La Colombe Coffee Roasters is coming your way later this year, and they don’t plan on slowing down once they arrive. All told, the rapidly-growing brand likely expects to have four to five locations in Los Angeles.

The first address actually has signage up already — at least as of a couple of days ago. It’s going to be situated at 9606 South Santa Monica Boulevard, inside a former beauty shop and across the street from Amorino Gelato. As you can see from the above photo, there’s already some window dressing giving the place away, with the company themselves Instagramming ominously about the expansion plans as well.

The Silver Lake location is perhaps a bit more intriguing though: La Colombe will be taking over the shuttered Casbah Cafe, right on Sunset Boulevard. You’ll remember that the owners of Casbah went down in a ball of flames not long ago, penning a long screed that blamed just about everyone for the loss of their businessThe future La Colombe space will further create a murderer’s row of Silver Lake coffee options, from Dinosaur Coffee past Intelligentsia and on down. Even Counter Culture Coffee's training operation (they don't do retail) is slated to arrive just around the corner later this year.

Of course, you knew it was only a matter of time before La Colombe made its way out West. After all, the Philadelphia-based company said as much last year after securing nearly $30 million in investment money — cash that was earmarked specifically for expansion.

La Colombe currently enjoys locations in Chicago, New York, Washington DC, and Philadelphia, but has reportedly been eyeing Los Angeles’s growing specialty coffee market for years. After all, LA has been on the come-up in terms of coffee for some time now, though the city may not have reached peak saturation.
