Pasadena passes a new minimum wage

Fresh off their big vote, the city of Pasadena has decided to enact a rise to $15 an hour by the year 2020, which is on par with cities like Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Long Beach. Of course, getting the proper paperwork in order to operate as a full-on club (not to mention actually buying the property) could be a bit of a barrier to entry.

What is L.A.’s vegan scene going to look like?

Tal Ronnen of Crossroads talks about the vegan scene in Los Angeles to LA Magazine, with nods to places like Gracias Madre and the Gadarene Swine. With a recently-launched daily brunch service and a look towards the future, it seems a great time to be Ronnen.
