In the cutest possible addition to her restaurant, chef Nyesha Arrington has added a cookie window to LEONA Venice. The window will serve Arrington's chef-driven, sweet-meets-savory cookies with housemade aguas frescas from 11 a.m. to close Tuesday through Sundays.
Think options like miso brown butter chocolate chip, ginger macadamia nut, and the coconut macaroon reminiscent CocoLoco. To wash it all down there's a pretty stellar beverage selection that includes aguas frescas like cucumber passion fruit, blood orange catctus, sugar cane verbena, and hibiscus pomegranate.
It seems that take out windows are having a moment in LA, first with Susan Feniger's Blue Window, the short-lived Moruno window, and Tacos Tu Madre in Westwood. LEONA's cookie window should be a convenient dessert on-the-go for those who pop in for the restaurant's freshly launched lunch service or those looking for a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up while strolling down Washington Boulevard.
