Good news for anyone looking for more fried chicken sandwiches in their life: GD Bro Burger has expanded to Long Beach. Well, Signal Hill technically, but still, that’s Los Angeles County.
The popular (if terribly-named) GD Bro Burger perhaps first gained relevance as a food truck, earning some national spotlight time after a run on The Great Food Truck Race during their sixth season. Since then, the truck has grown to include a Santa Ana location — which debuted in August — and now Long Beach as well.
LAist was on hand to check out the hearty offerings from the pub-style spot, which include a variety of burgers and sandwiches done with a housemade bright red bun that’s apparently raspberry flavored. There are more straightforward options, of course, like parmesan truffle fries and an All-American burger with bacon and swiss cheese, but really they take a backseat to the more outlandish poutine burgers and Italian Stallion, which comes with mozzarella sticks on top.
GD Bro Burger officially opened in Signal Hill on Saturday, with plans to keep daily hours from 11 a.m. through at least 9 p.m. on weeknights, and later on weekends.
