Bashan reopening with 10% off deal
Glendale fine dining favorite Bashan has been closed for the better part of two weeks as some repairs go down with the roof inside. But good news: they’ll be back this week, relaunching on Thursday for dinner service. Better still, the restaurant is offering 10% off for the next two weeks as a way of saying thank you to folks who stuck with them while they were closed.
Scratch Bar launches lunch
It’s a daytime feast at Scratch Bar in Encino, with the increasingly popular meat-focused restaurant turning on the weekday flavors. Running Tuesday through Friday and starting today, lunch at Scratch Bar will include simpler options like a cheeseburger, BLTA, seasonally rotating veggie sandwich and more. Each comes in between $9 and $13, with Scratch Bar keeping a fast casual service model (order at the counter, then sit) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Brie Larson should shill for In-N-Out
The Academy Award winning Brie Larson stepped out post-awards show in her dirty high top Converse, showing off some skills as she juggled both her new statue and a big In-N-Out burger at the Vanity Fair party. It’s a great look, and one she should consider getting paid for by the burger company.
L.A. Beer Week is coming
Though it technically won’t arrive until June 18, L.A. Beer Week is kicking into high gear starting on Friday with the beginning of presale tickets. Early bird tickets for the kickoff event cost $40 for general admission (VIP runs $60), and nets access to 75 craft breweries spread across the expansive Los Angeles Center studios. There will also be food trucks, live entertainment, and the like, so grab ‘em now.
Sausal x El Segundo Brewing
Two South Bay stalwarts — Sausal and El Segundo Brewing — are teaming up for a beer-focused dinner tomorrow night. The three-course meal also includes dessert and costs $45; you can make reservations through the restaurant.
