Blue Bottle Coffee's Culver City Shop Is a Minimalist Gem

Espresso, pour over coffee, and a sweet hangout spot

Matthew Kang is the Lead Editor of Eater LA. He has covered dining, restaurants, food culture, and nightlife in Los Angeles since 2008. He's the host of K-Town, a YouTube series covering Korean food in America, and has been featured in Netflix's Street Food show.

Blue Bottle Coffee continues to open shops in prime LA locations, but this lovely slot inside the Hayden Tract takes advantage of a smaller space starting today. Walk right up to the counter and order up an espresso drink or wait for a well-made pour over coffee. There's a small menu of pastries you can enjoy with said coffee.

Then waltz around to the stadium-style seating or upwards to the mezzanine, laid out with simple furniture. The lack of any traditional cafe-style tables means you likely won't kill too many hours on a laptop here. But like the rest of this artsy section of Culver City, you're really here to live that caffeinated LA life.
