Downtown nightlife proprietor Vee Delgadillo is following through on her rumored plans to open a wine bar in the former Two Bits Market space on 5th Street. First announced back in February, the quickly-realized wine bar goes by the name The Overflow, and is now officially open for business in the city's Historic Core.

Per Facebook, the drink spot has been softly serving since the weekend, even throwing a small art show over the past couple of days. Mostly it’s all about the wine though, with a side assortment of cheese and meat platters to snack on.

The former Two Bits Market has had an interesting run, with plans at one time to have the Auntie Em’s team take over the address and run their personal brand of breakfast and pastry favorites. That quickly fell by the wayside (and may end up in a lawsuit when all is said and done), so it seems Delgadillo and her team were anxious to move something else into the location.
