Shake Shack has confirmed that it's opening in the veritable heart of Hollywood at the new Eastown mixed-use complex — after revealing only yesterday their plans to land in Century City. Within a matter of months, the burger brand has gone from opening their first Los Angeles-area location in West Hollywood to debuting plans for two more in Glendale and Downtown respectively.
There was a bit of a hiatus in neighborhood name-checking as the West Hollywood flagship opened its doors (to massive, and continuing, lines) last week, but now the blitz is all the way back on with the Century City news and now, Hollywood intel.
To see where this Shake Shack is going to get situated, head over to the Eastown complex's own website. Right there in the retailer section (which already includes a Dunkin' Donuts) you'll see some 5,000 square feet marked off for a Shake Shack, which goes further to say an arrival could come as soon as this fall. If true, that would put this previously under-wraps Hollywood location ahead of every other inbound location except Glendale. But so far, reps have not confirmed a projected opening date.
So what else does Shake Shack have planned for Southern California? It's likely that a Santa Monica location will come to fruition soon enough, and don't be surprised to see something pop up in the Valley as well. After that you'll see growth across California as a whole, including whisperings that Shake Shack is actively looking for spaces in San Diego.
