Actress Marcia Gay Harden Opens Second Yogurt Shoppe Outlet in Brentwood

She's teamed up with owners for an expansion

Hollywood actress Marcia Gay Harden is teaming up with Pacific Palisades favorite The Yogurt Shoppe to expand into Brentwood. The tony Westside dessert shop first opened in 2011, but has gained some celebrity backing for their second outlet at the corner of Sunset and Barrington.

According to Facebook the upcoming location will launch April 2 inside the so-called Barrington Court, a looping side street filled with one-off restaurants and small shops. Apparently Harden has been a fan of The Yogurt Shoppe for some time, but only recently decided to join in on the operation alongside fellow investor John Whitesell and owner Kevin Sabin.

Don’t expect much differentiation from the original to the newcomer, as the Brentwood outlet will carry the same menu as the Pacific Palisades original. Both play at the slightly ‘healthier’ nature of frozen yogurt, and offer a simplistic sweets shop vibe, striped awning and all. Feel like joining in on the fun? The Yogurt Shoppe is currently hiring up in anticipation of the expansion. And who knows, you might even get to meet Marcia Gay Harden.
