Apparently only one day after tearing down their trellis and getting the handshake of approval from the city of Los Angeles, Trejo’s Tacos is up and running. A tipster writes in to say the the place was busy enough by midday today, serving tacos and letting people sit outside on the (now exposed) patio.
A call to Trejo’s PR confirms the supremely soft opening as well. Apparently from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today the company has been serving off of a shortened menu as they train up and into the full list of food options. It’s likely Trejo’s will be doing exactly that tomorrow as well.
The restaurant even updated their hours on their Facebook page to reflect the new 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. timeframe, though failed to actually post about it to any of their nearly 75,000 fans. Apparently they’re keeping a tight lid on this one, but know this: You can actually eat at Trejo’s Tacos now.
Just, you know, don’t expect the whole menu. That will take some time.
