Popular pub spot Tipsy Cow in Sherman Oaks is looking to roam a little farther into the Valley, setting up a second outlet in Woodland Hills. Formerly the Soup’s Sports Grill on Ventura Boulevard, the upcoming space has been lightly reformatted and is nearly ready to roll.
Per the company’s Facebook page, friends and family nights kicked off last night, with plans to open wide on April 18. If you’ve spent any time inside the former sports bar space, you’ll likely feel right at home at the new Tipsy Cow, as much of the decor remains. There’s still the long bar up front, open rafters, and ample patio space, though the proliferation of TVs has been pared back and there are some sturdy new booths to enjoy.
For the unfamiliar, Tipsy Cow has become something of a Sherman Oaks staple thanks to its lunch, dinner, and late night action during the week, and popular weekend brunch. The pub is craft beer-focused, but also carries cocktails (that will be true of the Woodland Hills location as well), burgers, bar bites, salads, and shakes. Hours for the new outpost will likely mirror the original, which means noon to midnight during the week, late night hours until 2 a.m. on weekends, and a Saturday-Sunday brunch that kicks off at 9 a.m. Official opening day is April 18.
