The bodega is coming back this summer as the essential neighborhood pitstop, as Jeremy Fall (Genesis, Nighthawk) takes over the glorious neon-signed "Coldest Beer in Town" store in Highland Park with a new concept called Tinfoil Liquor & Grocery. On top of curated spirits, local craft beers, and wines, Fall is partnering with Alvin Cailan's Unit 120 Group to put together a hidden sandwich shop/deli counter toward the back of the shop.
Hours for the sandwich counter will run all day and until late night, which means anyone craving a quick bite in this section of Highland Park will have that option.
As for the rest of the space, Fall, who has a keen eye on preserving classic interiors, is going to maintain the "Coldest Beer in Town" neon sign and the rest of the small-town facade. Anyone who wants to taste a preview of Tinfoil's offerings can stop by the booth at Coachella inside the Rose Garden VIP over the next two weekends.
