Wellfed, the eatery formerly known as "Great Food" in Playa Vista, has officially opened its doors, according to roving Westside reporter Toddrickallen. Offering a tight menu of healthy plates like ahi katsu, herb-seared mahi mahi, and tofu steak with sobu noodles, it's the kind of light fare that Westsiders tend to enjoy on a daily basis. Perhaps the best feature of the inside is a wrap-around monkey-wood bar that looks into the open kitchen.
Pricing is moderate as well, with everything ranging $7 for a house salad to $18 for the full kalbi hangar steak. Items come with white or brown rice, with only soft drinks available to imbibe. Hours run 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays, and until 11 p.m. on weekends.
