Butchers & Barbers decides to remain open after all

After confirming with Eater that their Hollywood restaurant Butchers & Barbers would close for a reconcepting, it seems now that the Houston brothers have had a change of heart. Instead they'll work to change the menu, format, and possibly the name in real time, without closing down after all. Brian Maynard is still at the helm, and the hospitality team offered the following statement: "Butchers & Barbers will remain open indefinitely. Expect changes over the coming months at Butchers and a new concept that will pair with the upcoming downstairs venue."

The best bar in America

LA Mag profiles incoming bar manager Aaron Polsky at Harvard & Stone to find out how exactly the Thai Town-based cocktail laboratory plans to win a coveted Spirited Award at the annual Tales of the Cocktail. The secret? Teamwork, Instagram, and making some damn good drinks.

Grill Em All debuts the Down-N-Out

Known for their massive burgers and hard rock theme, Alhambra's Grill Em All has also rotated in this new monthly special: the Down-N-Out, a take on the iconic In-N-Out double double, but with a bit more ... heft. It's 10 ounces of beef, and runs all month long.
