Nightlife maven Jeremy Fall has made quite a splash with his newest concept Nighthawk: Breakfast Bar, the Hollywood lounge that serves breakfast fare along with libations like spiked cereal milk. In a very fitting expansion, Fall will open a second outlet, Nighthawk: AM, on Melrose in the former Charcoal/Bugatta space. This means you will be able to get the restaurant's morning fare at more customary breakfast hours.
Expect a few of the favorites from the original Nighthawk menu, but chef Greg Schroeppel also has new items up his sleeve, like breakfast sandwiches, rice krispy-coated French toast sticks, and even a collection of "rare vintage cereals."
It will be a serious boon for all-day breakfast fans, who can get Fall and Shroeppel's fare from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at the Melrose location, then from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Hollywood outlet. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait for the evening hours to get the spiked cereal milk, as Nighthawk: AM will only offer it booze-free along with other beverages like lattes on tap.
Nighthawk: AM opens with limited seating, takeout, and delivery on Tuesday, May 24.
