Italian cheese specialist Obicà Mozzarella Bar, formerly known as Obika, just opened its second location in Santa Monica this past January. However, CEO of Obicà Group Raimondo Boggia has confirmed that the restaurant's third Los Angeles location will open in Sunset Plaza in the former Avenue 31 space. No opening date has been announced.
The extremely short-lived Avenue 31 should make for a nice home for Obicà, what with its prime location and pleasant terrace that Boggia describes as being conducive to an "aperitivo-vibe." Expect a menu similar to the Santa Monica and Century City locations that moves from antipasti and salads to pizza, pasta, and meat dishes with, of course, a focus on imported Mozzarella di Bufala DOP.
Obicà also has locations in New York, Italy, Japan, and Dubai.
