Orange County’s Bru Grill is making moves into Pasadena, landing a new location on Lake Avenue. The address is actually rather significant, as the concept takes over the former home of Trattoria Neapolis.
Bru Grill is a new medium-casual restaurant from the Seven Hospitality team out of Irvine, and is fronted by one Matt Pannek. The original outlet sits in Lake Forest and covers some 6,000 square feet of sleek space. The place has been up and running for a few years now, and has proven popular enough to branch out apparently.
As for the food, Bru keeps a focus on comfort food options like burgers, pizzas, and steaks, while leaning on craft beer. The Lake Forest outlet has 100 beers available, says the OC Register, with regional wines to boot. There is also a retail market space for takeaway sales.
Whether or not the Pasadena side continues that trend remains to be seen. Eater reached out for comment on the upcoming space, but so far hasn’t heard back. It’s widely known however that the Bru Grill franchise seeks to expand, so expect more to come from this location (and possibly others) down the line.
