Fat Dog North Hollywood is partying

It’s the one year anniversary of the Fat Dog outlet in North Hollywood, which also means its party time. To kick things off on Sunday, there will be DJs running from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., oysters, cheap drinks ($3 pints), and more. Apparently thereafter the party will kick up again every Sunday, with the same deals. So, if you can’t make this one, just know there’s another party just a week away.

Feel like eating meat on Memorial Day but don't want to cook? You can let the LASA team do it for you at Unit 120 in Chinatown, where they'll be doing ribs and more from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night.

Luke Reyes at Gadarene Swine

Oh Man Ramen previews are happening now, as chef Luke Reyes is taking to The Gadarene Swine in Studio City for a night of pop-up bowls. They’ll be doing a vegetable ramen only, which runs $16, alongside options like tempura broccoli and a pear salad with togarashi. Sunday only, 5 p.m. to close.

Jar turns 15 on Beverly

The iconic Jar on Beverly has hit the 15 year mark. That means a wine dinner with Mark Neal and food from Suzanne Tracht. Tickets are $140 per person for the Tuesday event, which goes off around 7:30 p.m.

New eats at San Manuel

If you feel like traveling for the weekend, consider a trip to San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino, where they’ve just redone the Pines steakhouse inside. The ritzy dinner option is debuting a whole new look next week, with extended high-end fare and lots of wine to spend your new winnings on.
