Bull and Barrel is the robust new bar area formerly attached to Alexander's Steakhouse in Pasadena as of this week, with Erik Lund overseeing a curated spirits program and cocktail menu. In addition, Bull and Barrel will have its own exclusive bar menu (listed below), with such items as a wagyu burger, hamachi crudo, and wagyu pastrami.

fancy new enclosed patio area boasts a fire pit and will play host to events throughout the summer, including a Sunday raw bar and special grilled items. As for Lund's cocktails, they'll eschew more of the typical "seasonality" in favor of homages to fellow bartenders at Bull and Barrel.

Family Tree uses blanco tequila, Taiwanese whisky, chartreuse, and cocoa nib spice salt for a bit everything in a glass. There's even a $50 Rob Roy, which mixes 25 year Highland single malt, "super expensive" vermouth, and "perfect" 100-point solera sherry. And for those who prefer something to finish off a mellow evening, Lund has a long list of obscure whiskies from which to choose.
