There's more life coming to Redondo Beach Boulevard soon, with the Gardena arrival of Asiana. The forthcoming eatery already has a spiffy new sign up, and has plans to drop a pan-Asian menu in the coming months.
Per this very young Facebook page, the plan for Asiana is to be somewhat "fancy," and focus on a variety of flavors from Korea, Japan, and even Mongolia. There's also a pending beer and wine license up in the window, with hope to do beer and wine sales soon enough.
Digging through some ownership paperwork for the new space reveals that this is indeed the same folks behind the cash only Sushi Koo on West Third Street. That strip mall spot, just east of La Cienega and right next to Berlins, is known for their sub-$4 collection of rolls and huge wraparound counter.
Eater reached out to the folks behind Asiana, but so far haven't heard back. Expect an arrival sometime in early to mid-summer, most likely.
