Pink-walled wonder Alfred Tea Room has arrived as the latest offering from the quickly-expanding Alfred operation. The shop sits just across Melrose Place from the original Alfred, in a well-lit corner address meant to be just as Instagrammable as all the rest.

Owner Joshua Zad has certainly had success with expanding his coffee brand across the city, from the intro outpost on Melrose Place to Alfred in the Alley (which now has a permanent Yeastie Boys Bagels presence inside) to the latest mustachio’d space in Silver Lake and beyond.

The plan for Alfred Tea is to be a brighter escape for the tea lovers of the world, where matcha lovers can congregate and green tea sippers won’t feel left out by the coffee-loving hordes. The shop isn’t open yet, but should arrive by next week.
