Maia had a successful run on West Hollywood's Sunset Strip after switching over from the better known Yellowtail. But now Lore Group, which also does Rock & Reilly's, Pearl's, and Bar 53, is partnering with New York City's Serafina Restaurant Group to open a Los Angeles branch of Serafina.

If you haven't heard of the place before, they've got nine locations in New York, another in the Hampton's, and many more others scattered across the U.S. and globe. With such an expansive reach, it was only a matter of time before the place found a home in Los Angeles, and at such a prime location at that.

The menu features moderately priced pizza, pastas, steaks, and other Italian comfort classics, making it easy to think of it like a more modernized Louise's Trattoria, a chain that had massive success in Los Angeles in years past. No opening date announced yet, but the switch over should happen quickly.
