It’s almost snack time at Grand Central Market, as the long-awaited Bar Moruno plots an opening for this coming Saturday. That means meat skewers, sandwiches, bowls and more from the recently three-starred team behind one of Los Angeles’ strongest new restaurants.
Unfortunately you won’t be able to dine in, as it were, since the actual alcohol service has yet to commence at the bar. For now, Bar Moruno will be takeaway only, though the menu is much the same as what they’ll be serving sometime later this summer once the full seating and David Rosoff’s drink program kicks to life.
It’s a shortened version of what chef Chris Feldmeier has been doing at his sit-down spot Moruno over at the Original Farmers Market, and more closely aligns with the early days at that location as well, when it was also operating as a takeout window only.
The full opening menu for Bar Moruno is below. Come this weekend, expect hours from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. for Friday and Saturday. After that, it’s 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the rest of the week. The full Bar Moruno should come to life by mid-summer, ideally.
