New Simmzy’s concept Craft Shack has opened at The Point in El Segundo, keeping lunch and dinner hours all weekend long. The walk-up option surprised opened yesterday for anyone who happened by.
The snacky Craft Shack is meant to be a quick service sit-down option for shoppers and those just back from the beach, with mostly outdoor seating under string lights and a real local, communal feel. The concept is the work of the Simmzy’s restaurant team, who have previously had success expanding their own brand of craft beer and burger spots from an original outlet in Manhattan Beach to various location throughout the Southland, including Burbank and Venice.
The new addition adds to the strong culinary backbone at The Point in El Segundo, which already enjoys a Hopdoddy Burger Bar and dinner option North Italia, among others. The easygoing menu for Craft Shack will bring even more burgers, plus tacos, fries, salads, and more. The opening menu is below.
Expect lunch through dinner hours, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. or later, all summer long. Craft Shack joins a growing number of casual lunch and dinner options near the beach this summer, from the ongoing Tackle Box by chef Brian Huskey down in Newport Beach to the summer walk-up of Naugles, the revived fast food Mexican franchise in Huntington Beach.
