French bistro favorite Petit Trois is coming to the Valley, and as of today the world finally knows where. According to multiple sources, the Il Tiramisu space in Sherman Oaks has only just closed for good, making way for a slightly expanded version of the Hollywood original.

Of course this isn’t the first time the nearly 20 year old Il Tiramisu has been on the chopping block; the place previously issued a goodbye notice to the neighborhood following plans by Leo & Lily’s to take over their space last year. That ended up falling through and Il Tiramisu held on for months longer, only to wash away quietly just now.

As for Petit Trois, it’s been known since April that star chefs Ludo Lefebvre, Jon Shook & Vinny Dotolo would be heading over the hill after Ludo himself announced the news during a press performance for Mind of a Chef. No one wanted to confirm the location at that time (which makes sense now, considering Il Tiramisu was still operating), but now the address is locked in tight.

The location on Ventura Boulevard is a great fit for Petit Trois, as it’s more expansive but still charming as heck. There’s rumor as well that construction teams could be looking to expand with some patio space, which would certainly up the handsome factor of the place quite a bit as well. There’s no timetable just yet for Petit Trois to open, but expect something by late in the year, if not later.
