Looks like it’s almost time to light the match and get Eggslut Venice burning. The immensely popular breakfast option at Grand Central Market announced in the fall of last year that they’d be taking their talents out to Venice, but otherwise it’s been all quiet on the (far) western front.
That is until now, as a Craigslist ad just recently popped up asking for front of house staff. That would certainly indicate that an opening is coming sooner rather than later, though the process for hiring up certainly isn’t overnight. Insiders say the place is still in construction mode too, which is no surprise given the recent expansion announcements that management has also been focusing on.
Just a few days ago Eggslut Vegas officially opened in the Cosmopolitan on the Strip, rocking its menu of $8 morning egg sandwiches and $10 cheeseburgers, with founder Alvin Cailan on site himself for the unveiling. That’s great news for Vegas, as the place will keep hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. most days, and until midnight on Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Add to that the recent Glendale expansion news across from the Americana, and it’s been a busy few months for Eggslut.
The soon-to-come Venice location on Pacific Avenue will be perhaps the most anticipated of them all, however, as Westsiders have long been clamoring for more access to things they aren’t willing to cross the 405 for themselves. That includes not only Eggslut but also places like Night Market, which is similarly advancing into Venice with its own third outlet.
Expect Eggslut Venice to open sometime mid-summer, and if you’re interested in working there yourself — either as front of house or as an experienced cook in the back — you can follow the procedures laid out over on Craigslist.
