The South Bay has seriously stepped up its restaurant game over the past few years, and now it looks like the area is finally getting quality coffee shops to match the burgeoning restaurant scene. First there was the Colombian coffee bean-roastery The Fika Company in Redondo Beach, and now a newcomer, Green Door Powered By Intelligentsia, is bringing third wave coffee to Carson.
The independent coffee shop serving Intelligentsia beans is the brainchild of Sergei Dubinin. The expansive space boasts sleek, urban vibes, a complimentary parking lot, free wifi, and plenty of outlets, making it sure to be a local favorite for students and the work-from-home crowd.

To sip there are the requisite single-origin pour overs, classic espresso drinks, and matcha beverages. There's also a food program with straightforward salads, sandwiches, and Cake Monkey pastries, essentially assuring that there's always something to keep patrons fueled at any hour of the day.
Although Green Door only debuted last month, there are already plans for expansion. The second outlet is slated to open in Beverly Hills on 295 S Robertson Boulevard sometime in November. Green Door is open weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
