Looks like the Alma team isn’t going anywhere, as the duo behind one of Los Angeles’s most well-known restaurant names have agreed to take over the full food and beverage program at The Standard Hollywood.

LA Weekly first broke the news of Ari Taymor and Ashleigh Parsons’ plans to expand from their ongoing residency into a full-time role on site, noting that the pair actually feel in sync with the local community and hotel guests who pass through. It’s a crowd that skews younger, and should allow the Alma team to keep innovating in the kitchen while also expanding their repertoire.

For starters, there’s going to be a need for all-day menus, from more traditional hotel breakfast though lunch, dinner, and even room service. As Taymor explains to the Weekly, it should be easy for them to stay on message with the high quality, sustainable sourcing they do now that they’ve got the increased buying power of an entire hotel behind them. It also means that, soon enough, Ari Taymor will start making a hamburger.

The transition into full hotel status for the Alma team is underway now, and represents a great new turn for the thoughtful pair. It’s especially comforting to see Taymor and Parsons land into a more permanent and expanded role after acting as little more than a temporary pop-up at The Standard Hollywood for the past six months, fresh on the heels of their restaurant’s lawsuit battle and ultimate closure Downtown.
