Westwood continues to grow in the fast casual department, with news that Tender Greens will be debuting a new-look space in the neighborhood this coming Monday. The Glendon Avenue address marks the 22nd total location for the Southern California-based company, which for years has been a home for on-the-go diners and office workers to eat well, and relatively inexpensively, on a menu of mostly healthy fare.
The new location marks a bit of a departure of the Tender Greens brand, with a growing focus on the space itself as much as the menu. The older brick building has a beautiful skylight and high ceilings, plus lots of communal seating for kids in the area. They’re also expanding the restaurant’s offerings to include a wider variety of drinks (yes, there will be matcha and kombucha on tap) and, in a surprising twist, soft serve ice cream.
The 2,500 square foot Westwood Tender Greens opens Monday, August 1, keeping daily hours from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. most nights, with an extension to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
