Here’s a fun mashup: New York City’s Contra/Wildair team is coming to Los Angeles on Friday for a collaboration dinner with Kris Yenbamroong of Night + Market fame. Both sides of the equation were part of the Food & Wine Best New Chef class this year, so it only makes sense to have them all under one roof doing a big blow-out dinner in West Hollywood.

Chefs Jeremiah Stone and Fabian Von Hauske plan to work an a la carte menu of unique one-off dishes for the evening, with Yenbamroong adding in his own selection of new takes on dishes like pad kee mao. He’ll also be working up some raw lamb larb, which sounds awesome, and the whole night will carry a largely barbecue-focused theme, with the trio out back grilling lamb almost the whole night.

Since this isn’t a ticketed or fixed-price menu, all guests have to do is show up (or, better still, make reservations online). The standard Night + Market menu won’t be happening that night though, so for anyone who’s after the usual fare they’ll need to head to Song in Silver Lake. Otherwise, J.D. Platonic from Lou Wine will be pouring natural wines, and guests can order together a piecemeal feast with a few friends. The party runs from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday night only.
