Looks like the end of the line for Bachi Burger in Pasadena, and thus California as a whole. A tipster writes in to say that the casual burger chain offered a simple "closed for renovations" to anyone trying to dine in recently, but all signs point to the Fair Oaks Avenue location being fully shuttered.

Indeed, Yelp is now listing the Old Town Pasadena outlet as permanently closed. Furthermore, you can’t even call through to the restaurant’s line to get a voicemail or talk to someone about those remodeling plans, because the phone has been disconnected. Similarly, the restaurant’s Instagram page is now all the way offline.

Eater reached out to Bachi Burger to discuss the closure, but so far hasn’t heard back. The loss of the Pasadena outlet leaves the Las Vegas-based burger concept without a California outpost, despite initially opening on Sawtelle back in 2014. That outlet also couldn’t hold on, eventually undergoing a management overhaul to slide out from underneath the Bachi name and become Ohana Burger, though with largely the same menu. Want your Bachi Burger fix? You’ll have to wait for your next trip to Vegas.
